All renderings via Studio Esnal Studio Esnal is relatively new to the New York architecture scene, but has made quite an impression in a short amount of time. Its latest projects are taking shape on the corner of Marcy Avenue and Hope Street in Williamsburg. 69 Hope Street is taking shape on the corner of Marcy Avenue and Hope Street. Permits filed with the city call for over 3,700 square feet of office space on the first two floors, one full-floor apartment, and one duplex unit. It will have new retail space at the ground floor. On top, renderings show six duplex four-bedroom apartments will have private terraces overlooking a lounge area in the rear.

In the next block, a low-rise project is nearing completion at 351 Grand Street. This building will have both office and retail space at grade level, and eight apartments on top. All apartments will have four bedrooms and private terraces.

Down the block, apartments in rental 55 Hope start at $2,850/month. And directly across the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, condos at 147 Hope Street start at $820K for one-bedrooms and $1.2 million for two-bedrooms.

Whatever the apartments turn out to be, future residents will be in an excellent location. Local attractions include City Reliquary Museum and Knitting Factory Brooklyn. Gertie will be the retail tenant at 351 Grand Street, and additional restaurants nearby include Emmy Squared Brooklyn, St. Mazie Bar & Supper Club, and Fette Sau. Bedford Avenue’s best shopping is a short walk away, and the Metropolitan Avenue subway stop is across the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
