Professional Background
After obtaining my medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, I decided to pursue a career in radiology. During my radiology residency, I developed a passion for interventional radiology that continues to this very day. Upon completion of my residency at the University of Kansas, I became the IR fellow at KU, received extensive and comprehensive training enabling me to handle a large volume of extremely complex cases. Following fellowship, I was fortunate to join the faculty at Kansas University Medical Center and have had the pleasure of working with some of the finest physicians in the world. Throughout my 15-year career I have dedicated much of my time providing the highest level of care possible for my patients and referring physicians. From basic procedures to very high-risk complex cases involving critically ill patients, I have always taken pride in using meticulous techniques with the best outcomes possible. Over the last 15 years, there have been a number of technological advancements, including medical devices and imaging equipment, that make procedures safer and more effective. I have taken part in several clinical trials over the years that have facilitated development and approval of these devices. My particular areas of interest include TIPS procedures, complex biliary cases, and interventional oncology.
