Instagram down worldwide: Thousands of users reported issues with social media app

Thousands of Instagram users reported that the social media app was down on Monday morning.

The outage was reportedly affecting countless people around the world, who were unable to refresh their feeds or access Facebook through its website or app.

Around 11am, Downdetector.com was reporting over 6100 user-generated reports of an outage.

Instagram’s parent company Meta issued a statement apologizing, news.com.au reported.

This morning’s outage lasted for more than an hour.
